Assignment #2) - Whats in a Name?
Supplies required: Cardboard boxes, paintbrushes, scissors, ruler, any additional decorative elements (glitter etc.)Supplies provided: White glue, acrylic paint, cutting tools.
- Use the letters of your name to create an interesting and Abstract 3-d composition. Consider the ways in which stacking, weaving, cutting or bending the cardboard might add to your design.
- You may use your given name (first name), surname (last name) or short forms provided that they are at least 4 characters long.
- Manipulate the letters, font and arrangement in such a way as to make them illegible. The less recognisable the better.
- Use block or bubble or graf letters as you wish - the aim here is to make them shapes that can be filled in rather than simple lines.
- Name compositions will then be built using cardboard and white glue.
- Paint your resulting composition using the proper paint management process as discussed in class.
